Help! Front bumper question

I have the journey/base model G37, and I'm really wanting to purchase the BSD style front lip for my car. The problem is that the website does not tell if the bumper will fit for the journey/base model or just the sport. Please let me know if you have any info on this!

Here's the link - Bayspeed BSD Style Front Lip - 8371BSD.L

this one is the whole front bumper, so all you ahve to do is get them painted and make them fit.

That first lip is a jp knockoff. That only fits on the sport bumper (picture is pretty obvious) lol. The second one will fit but youll have a great time making that **** fit, youll end up paying a ton of money to get it properly fitted and painted. Just get a sport bumper and get a lip on that

but wouldn't buying the sports bumper and lip be more expensive than just buying the AIT bumper?

You could just look in the classifieds here on the site and grab one of those used sport bumpers. They can be cheap.

No. Unless you're super-handy and talented with fiberglass, you'll probably be taking the AIT bumper to a shop to have them install it. They will need to spend a considerable amount of time 'fitting' it to your car. By the time it's all said and done, it would probably have been cheaper to have purchased a quality bumper (like the OEM sport bumper, which is also a bolt-on install that you can do yourself) and install it, rather than a knock-off and having to work it. Classic example of 'You get what you pay for.'

HTH.

Ok gotcha. If I were to still go with the AIT bumper though, how much would I probably be looking at for installation costs?

That pretty much depends on your shop. Some will charge you by the hour some might just give you a flat price. If I were you I would rather get a quality bumper instead of a replica "fake" copy cat that doesn't fit. If you're down for a authentic Japan part let me know I have a brand new bumper that I can sell you. I haven't posted it in the classified yet but will do so soon

Stay away from AIT's fronts. The fitment is wayyyy off, the shop will have to do quite a bit of fitting, cutting and reglassing.

If you're looking for that front, just go through ONEighty and get the polyurithane lip that fits right onto your bumper.
