Wrong, and wrong again. It's not just a lowering spring...
Many crappily made coilovers will give you lowering ability as well as damping adjustment... improving performance is a marriage of the setup and craftsmanship
Let's be real here. People buy coilovers so they can go lower than they can with springs. Just like 99.9% of people getting BBK's do so only for looks.
Ibanez540r, do you even know what a shock dyno is?

As YOU said, improving performance is a marriage of the setup. The OEM suspension was not set for the damping or travel of the eibach springs. Yes I agree some coilovers are cheap and also just for drop and not so much performance but in general terms for a newb on the forum coilovers = performance and lowering springs = inexpensive drop.

^It's stiffer, sometimes it gets super annoying, it's very bad for the struts too. On the other hand it does no rub but it might hit the subframe over bumps if you go fast. After the front wheels we have a subframe that always likes hitting bumps. But 80% of bumps won't come close.

I have the eibachs on my G and I daily drive, autocross, and do track days and so far they provide an awesome handling car. I can get off a interstate with a the loop at 70mph and the car just hugs the corner. I love them and wouldn't say they were a waste of money at all.
