Shoudl I buy Stillen 3rd Gen intakes?

Guys I am sorry for bothering you with this. I am a total newb.

I have a stock G coupe, I am thinking about getting the Stillen 3rd Gen intakes.

Is this the best intake for our car out there right now?
Would it be safe for the engine?
Would acceleration really improve compare to a normal stock?

Again excuse my newb questions!

Thanks

Yes, yes, yes, and yes.. Especially if you're on stock exhaust you will enjoy the pure growl of those intakes..

GO FOR IT!

Yeah +1 if that is your first or only mod it is a good one. It will give you a little more umph and also improve the sound of the car. Do it!

i have them and i like em...i dyoned an extra 8-10whp i believe when i just swapped out the stock for these.
There prob the only intakes that make decent power on our cars now and sound nice.

If your looking for more performance i would say look into some high flow cats also.

Thanks guys!!

Well I am heading back to Europe in roughly two months. So I want to spice up the car a bit before I ship it there. Not too keen on modding my G. But I like what people have been saying for the Gen 3 intakes.

Won't hurt to have something extra vs. those European G37s (well they are with a 315hp anyway) Right off the bat our stocks have more hps. Still a nice intake like the Gen 3 will make it even better don’t you think. PLUS it just looks great once you pop the hood!

Personally, I once had these same questions before I installed my Stillen 3rd gen intakes. And as sam said, all the answers to your questions will be yes. You can definitely feel the difference once this intake is installed. Definitely worth the money for this intake. Personally sound in my opinion, can't really hear it.. You can tell a difference but not like its THERE until you get in 4+ rpms. If you want sound, start looking into an exhaust, those will give you SOUND. But the power/acceleration is what were going for right? I say DO IT! Good luck and keep us posted!

First of all thanks to all who replied to my questions. It is nice to see people caring for their G buddies!

YES that is my goal. I just want to drive knowing that if I end up next to a euro G version I will leave him in the dust. I will be representing the US G ver. after all.

PS Due to Euro requirements I have to change my back signal lights to blinking orange. Any tips for a quick fix, personally not too keen on changing the whole thing.

Thanks!

By the way here is my G37 (4 1/2 ago).

Amazing car!!! My wife hates me when I ask her to make sure she has no buttons on her jeans hahaha

You will probably have to buy a set of heads/tails from a dealer over there to make it legal.
