Any Check Enginge codes?
With the Stillen 3rd gen intake, has anyone received check engine errors yet? I just bought my G37S and want to change the intakes. The service manager at the dealership told me that the g37 is very sensitive because of the mass airflow sensors. Any thoughts?

I installed mine 2 days ago.. had to drive the car little bit before I reset the ECU because I didn't have the procedure memorized, and there was NO check engine light.. Reset the ecu and here I am flooring it at every traffic light.. no SES light, however my MPG is now worse than that of the Veyron lol

Thanks for the reply, help a noob out. When you say you had to reset the ECU, is that something that you have to do all of the time or just this once? What is the sequence for resetting? In addition is it worth having a code reader for this car? If so any suggestions on a model?
And here's how you do it:
1) With the key in your pocket/car, push the Engine Start button TWICE (so the car is fully on, but not started)
2) Within three seconds of the car "ON" (again NOT started), Floor (all the way down) and Release the gas pedal fully 5 times within 5 seconds. Do not do this too fast.. 1..2..3..4..5
3) Wait 7 seconds then floor the gas pedal and hold for 10 seconds. After that 10 seconds the Check Engine Light will start to blink slowly.
4) Release the pedal and floor it down once again and hold for 10 seconds. After these 10 seconds the check engine light will disappear then begin to flash much more rapidly. After you have done the following turn the car off and then back on. The ECU is now reset!!

Sorry for the stupid question guys, is the poor MPG due to the change in fuel airflow? Are you burning through gas faster because of driving habits? I always thought that better air flow equaled general MPG gains? Am I missing part of the picture?

in simple english, the further your leg is down that throttle, the more air is let into your engine thus more fuel burnt.. you drive like a granny and cruise control the whole time, you'll see high mpg.. you drive like you stole the car and you'll notice mpg going down.. basically the faster the acceleration the lower your mpg..
hope that made sense
