? horsepower gain question ?

I've had my G since late March. Installed Stillen exhaust and now I am curious if I will see a solid HP gain by adding high flow cats and Injen cold air intake. This is my first 2 door sport car and I am just looking for input on how to increase the output. Thanks.

are you planning on doing a dyno?

supposedly injen cai doesn't add as much as expected, but there is still a gain, i put an injen cai on because of the sound more so than the gains

hfc's definitely will add power

how much power are you wanting to add? keep in mind it's not linear, a combination of mods will not be the gains added together

Do I need to dyno??? Injen is claiming 15 hp with cai. Who knows? That's why I am asking. I would really like to get into the 375 hp range. Any other ideas how? Also, are the high flow cats street legal?

375 horses....do you want to stay N/A or go forced induction? You can either have someone custom fab a turbo kit for you or if you choose to stay N/A your gonna need a lot of internal work to get to that HP range you want.....at the wheels....

What Mestizo said above ^^ +1
Turbo kit will be needed for that much gain in HP on this car, especially to the wheels.

guys, I'm assuming he's talking crank, he probably pulled 375 figure by starting at the 330 stock number. If anyone was talking FI they wouldn't go to only 375. The stage 1 turbo kits are almost 450hp. Why go FI to only hit 375??? it has to be crank

Well why pay that much money to twin turbo the car 14k when for 8k less you can turbo a cobra for say and be at well over 1000hp Some people have dif. taste or believe all the hp hype they read

hmm..what else would you need to get 330WHP? (w/o FI). I thought that number would be attainable NA but I'm starting to guess it's not worth it.

I did mean to the crank basing that off of the 330 hp to start. I like the car as it is... I just want to like it more with maybe 40 - 50 more HP for not a ton of $$.

I have stillen intake/cat back & FI HFC and I believe stillen intake
decrease HP/TQ about 3~4HP as I have dynoed both before and after
when it's soaked with heat. If you plan to add intake- try JWT or
injen (not much but still a gain than others). I'm switching mine to
JWT soon. And if you add HFC ontop this mod, expect an issue with SES light. I didn't have one yet but other people have already experienced this.

intakes have nothing to do with the SES lights people have been getting. The HFC are the only mod that might trip the SES, and a simple reset of your A/F ratio values that your car learned while being stock will eliminate any future problems with the light being tripped. Your electronics just need to get used to the increased flow and different A/F ratio values.
