First REAL mod, what should it be?

HFCs will definitely give you nice gains- especially at peak. Y-pipe will give you more low end torque on this car and will not change the sound much at all.
Those two mods are where I would start.
The jury is stil out onintake mods. It appears that Injen will give you nice gains but the install is a pain. JWT will hopefully live up to its promise but no one really knows right now.

Yup, looks like I am going get the Berk/FI HFC first, then the Y-Pipe. Intake I am going to wait until the dust has settled, too much drama.
What brand for the Y-pipe do you guys suggest?
Exhaust Depot, Tanabe or JIC Magic

I have the exhaust depot y-pipe. I am very impresed with it- no drone no rasp jst good power. The low end is much improved with it. I am not familiar with JIC Magic. I am waiting to see more results of the Tanabe. I know Tanabe will certainly be high quality.

check out the dyno done by UNV-IT46 and the review.

At peak it was about 5HP but below peak it increased by as much as 13.4 HP and averaged 10 across the entire low end powerband.
After installing the y-pipe the conditions were slightly hotter and more humid than when the baseline was done. So the fact that it still produced sigficantly more power in the low end was impressive. The results can definitely be felt in the butt dyno in 1st gear.

This is the route I'm going. I need some advice though. I really like the Borla sound as it is similar to a v8 throaty sound. The only problem is that the borla exhaust is some serious money. Is there any other brand that yields about the same amount of gains while retaining that muscle sound for cheaper? I'm not into the Greddy sound as it reminds me too much of kids with fart cans.
1.Injen CAI(on order)
2.BERK HFC
3.Borla Exhaust
4.ECU Reflash/chip(eventually)
