Where does this plug in? I hate having to run my iPod off my tape deck. Sound quality is lost so much by that.

the connection plugs into your factory radio, so you're able to play your ipod music through your factory speakers, its great!

But where? Does it tap into the radio antenna or into the sat radio input or something else?

From what I understand you either plug it into a SAT ready car, which is located in the trunk. Otherwise, you can wire it in through behind the radio... I haven't done it yet so I don't know the complete details but there are OEM looking connectors on the USA Spec Unit.

yeah, its basically you unplug the connector from the factory radio connection, and plug in the connector of the ipod connection. there was a DIY guide on driver when we installed ours, but i can't seem to find it. the tedious part is taking apart everything to get to the factory radio, once that's done, its a few easy switches and you can put everything back together!
