THIS is the route we would take to the AIRSTRIP: MapQuest Maps - Driving Directions - Map



May 17th(thurs)HOTEL CHECK IN(4pm @ fontanavillage). We have a 3 bedroom 2 bath CABIN reserved and paid in full at the site of ZDAYZ 2012(www.zdayz.com)
Friday(18th) - the twisties in the famous TAIL OF THE DRAGON<(clicky if you don't know what that is ...HINT: 11-mile stretch of road that contains 318 curves). Saturday(19th) - Car Show.

May 20th(sun) - Checkout is by 11am and leaving for HOLLEYWOOD, FL

Floriday Festivities: Tuning day? Key west day? Etc!
May 25th(fri) - VOSSEN MEET 11am-4pm Clicky For Official Thread
May 26th(sat) - leave for home....~30 hr trip.
MONDAY, MAY 28th of 2012 = MEMORIAL DAY, so some/most of us should have off??? This works PERFECTLY into our favor!!!!

Detailed Miliage - should give a good idea for costs of gas
-St Paul to Fontana Village Resort(clicky), Fontana Dam, NC = 1003miles/18hr
-North Carolina to The Westin Diplomat Hotel(clicky), Holleywood, FL = 827miles/14hrs
-Holleywood, FL back to MN = 1753miles/~30 hrs
>>>>Total Miles = 3,583 (keep in mind this is without daily trips/errands/cruises)

FUEL - ROUGH ESTIMATE w/ est gas price & miliage(trying to overestimate to planning purposes)
**Guide used - 3500 miles/20mpg/$3.50pergal
175 gallons of gas equalling approx. $612.50 in gas just for traveling.
