Plan is to roll it year round. He's gonna hang onto his prelude, and it sounds as if he might decide what to do this winter. No plans for a garage queen, but once he starts modding, things might change.

Would be pretty hard to buy a new car and park it the week after you buy it. lol

Thanks for the welcomes! No I don't plan on parking it for the winters. Could use some info from other G (non X) owners on how the rear wheel drive is in the snow. As it may start flying here soon. I'm assuming with the low miles I'm still on stock S tires? Anyone know what tires come stock (google failed me)?`

They come with Bridgestone Potenza (dont know the exact model) which wont work in the snow.

Since you have the BBK, your going to need 18" wheels that fit over the brakes. 09+G37S sedan wheels will work. Then just get some Blizzaks and run it. I have Continental ExtremeWinterContacts on my sedan and i have 0 issues in the snow. Runs better than most AWD cars with all seasons..

Welcome DuffDaddy and Nice purchase!

I agree with Janik.

Getting a set of 18's would probably be your best option. You can however, get a set of 19" snow tires if you so desire. Then run those on your stock wheels and switch tires twice a year. Although I wouldn't recommend it.

I have Firestone Winterforces and have had zero issues as well. I even ran fairly lowered last winter too. There was only one day when I didn't even attempt to drive my car...

They said no and I walked out, maybe they knew I would come back? But whatever, I still feel I got a good deal.

2008 Infiniti G37 Base, $25,400 - Cars.com
I noticed today somehow the car went down $400 even though its in my garage! Those bastards!!

Messaged Lance within a few hours of buying it because I want the exhaust!!! Pretty sure I'm going with FI SS 18 resonator with x pipe and the RHFC, but still working with him on that. My prelude had major drone and I don't want that. Kept the Prelude for now will sell the CRX next week sometime. Looking into getting my tint done right away also. Brian mentioned a special eye doctor that could find an issue with my eyes so I can get the tint a little darker I would like to know more about that for sure.

But like Brian (glowrdr) said, I have been lurking these forums for a while and looking at G's for a long time. Really glad to have my own G now, and look forward to going to some meets/rides with you guys.
welcome ryan! yeah poquet sells some decent cars..i know for a fact that they only purchase lease vehicles..but WOW is that low mileage..thats awesome! FI i see? i'll be contacting lance as well next year for an exhaust system for my sedan..it'll be nice to see another 37 coupe with the FI mounted

Your saying to get a second set of rims+tires correct? I used to run 2 sets of rims/tires on my prelude (performance summer and blizzacks). was thinking about putting winter tires on the stock G rims for now and getting summer rims/tires later. In my prelude my speedometer was always off (10% or so)and it bugged me. If possible it would be nice to have an accurate speedometer, I have enough tickets. Sounds like I need to get a specific tire size depending on the rims size I'm using? Or is this adjustable somehow should I stray from this stock sizes?

lowered how much?
Yes that is correct. Just from a price standpoint as well. 19" tires are not cheap. I haven't looked at snow tires for 19's but can't imagine they are less expensive. If you plan to get another set of "summer" wheels then maybe put snow tires on the 19's, just depends on what you plan to do with the car. It might be cheaper in the long run to buy a set of 18's and snow tires.

You can probably pick up wheels and tires for about 1k, where as the 19" snow tires your probably looking at 1k just for the tires. This all depends on sizes etc.

Edit: I actually just searched tires quick and 18 and 19" snow tires are actually fairly close in price. So I would just research and find out what you want to do and go from there!

And yes stay close to the stock size or circumference.

If you google "tire size calculator" you can plug in different sizes to see how far off your speedo will be.

And I am lowered 2" in front and about an inch and a half in back. (I drive an 05 sedan)

Yeah, I know on Discount Tires website, they have the option for "plus sizing". Might want to check and see if they do the same in reverse. Basically you can either get a set of 18's and a little beefier tire, or a set of 20's with a little lower profile tire. The circumference shouldn't change any more than it would be running your tires a little high/low on air.

Stockies are staggered on your car as well. 225/45-19 front, 245/40-19 rears.
You could run 225/50-18 and 245/45-18 (speedo would be off 0.4% and 0.1% F/R)
or in the summer you could run 225/40-20 and 245/35-20

Not sure if it varies from car to car, but it looks like they recommend a change of 3%> so it doesn't mess with the brakes/traction control. Also keep in mind the TPMS. I think most people on here just leave them off the winter tires, but you will have a light on your dash all season if that's they way you go.

You don't have to listen to me though. I'm an X owner *Shunned*

Just make an eye appointment at savage eye, then when you go in tell them you would like a tint prescription as well because your sensitive to light and the state wants you to remove your window tint lol.
