They make snow at night, all the hills have been open since November. You got nothing to worry about, even this 50 degree weather doesnt melt too much on the hills since they make it at night. It will be around zero degrees before ya know it

I went skiing on the fake **** saturday and it sucked, but I am a snow snob and like real fresh snow (I ski raced 13 years of my life lol)
Fake snow to Real Snow is like.... Ebay Knockoff < the real thing Similar, but not quite the same.

I've never been out there yet (REALLY WANT TO) but it'll be different for sure. its a lot sh;ttier here compared to there but you might not notice that difference since you're still starting the whole thing up. Either way, i think its good enough for you're skill level to have a lot of fun.

"fake snow" tends to be more slippery and hurts more when you eat it every now and then... but definitely better than snowboarding/skiing on grass for sure.

also i board... i tried skiing once a couple of years back at lutsen but i guess i can't make a call whether i like it or not since it was for only a bit. i will say though that starting to ski is easier than starting to board.
