I don't venture much past the MN section, so I hadn't seen this yet.

When car magazines try and guess what future cars are gonna look like and there specs, I rarely believe them. They are usually about 10% right.

Hey guys, not sure how many of you would be interested in renting out First Gear Garage in Chanhassen, but I need to install my new Eibach springs in my G before the September meet. I know Lance said Fanyan also got some springs for his G, and was wondering if anyone else could use the garage. I am pretty open to renting it out whenever, so if anyone else is interested just reply on here and we will schedule a date to rent out a spot! I guess the only dates that won't work for me are August 25th to the 28th since I'll be in Vegassssssss

I'd have to agree with Curt on this one. A deal with Diamler sounds nice, but putting the AMG motors in the G? Just sounds a bit far fetched to me, but I guess AMG is it's own division now and could they could profit from selling engines to other manufactures. It would be sweet to have an optional V8 in the coupe finally, as well as a possible M coupe, which people have been asking for a while now.

Let us know when you plan on doing this. A number of us are def willing to help and having some one who has done the install before really helps. And do you know if your Ebach springs are progressive or not? I had them put in mine, and they were a bit more challenging to compress, but we got it done.

What's everyone up to this weekend? My car will be tore apart, but I'd be up to get together this upcoming weekend sometime to help you guys out. Fanyan's springs should be in this early this week as well, so I can contact him if we wanna all get together again like we did for Taylor, Trev and Hossam's springs???

Yes they are the progressive spring design. Did you guys have access to a spring compressor at the garage to install them?

Yours should be fine. Most springs are a progressive spring, Taylors were just a LOT MORE then ususal with it being an AWD.

I don't know about mine being more progressive than most. It seemed pretty usual from a lot of springs I have seen.
But yes Dan, First Gear has two spring compressors. A really slick home made type and the standard type. For my install, we had to kind of jimmy rig a system to use both.
