ty bro, I dont mind the lights or anything on the exterior. I wouldnt object to getting new wheels, but when the current tires are done, those tires are expensive

Any other suggestions for upgrades/performance parts? What have you done to your car and what model G do you have?

Bat, great to hear about the Swift springs! Mine have been ordered and should be here within the month. Did you need a camber kit for them? I'm still debating whether or not to get one.

I'd love to hear the results of your dyno. Where in Union are you going?

I should be heading to Sharp myself for a full tint & full detail. I'll post pics when my car is 100% complete.

i chose not to go with a camber kit. my camber is a little off but with proper tire rotation I should be alright. the price of the camber isnt worth it. 2 new tires would be cheaper.

im going to ET Tuning

Nice, bat, thanks for the info! Honestly, I probably wasn't going to do the camber kit either. From other posts I've read, I hear alignment specs after the drop are just slightly out, if at all. I may take my chances and rotate/align religiously.

is Spirit West the only recommended painter? Just looking for options. I need a small spoiler painted.

Spirit West was the only good one I've dealt with in St. Charles. Now, there's an excellent place in South County - Mungenast Collision Center. Mungenast Collision Center | Auto Body and Collision Repair In St. Louis, Hazelwood and Arnold, MO 63011, 63010 & 63042. They used to be called Wayne's Auto Body. They do mostly higher-end import repairs (Lexus, Infiniti, Acura, etc). I've never used them, but several people at my work use them all the time and say nothing but great things (and their cars all look great ).

On a side note, I did decide to get the front & rear camber kits. I went with the Eibachs for both. Discount Tire Direct (through eBay) had the front kit for about $50 less than Amazon or comparable places. I drive 70+ miles a day and do not want to risk it and pay for tires several times a year.

Spirit west blows. The dude is a angry douche who says "I don't touch aftermarket."I have a perfectly prepped spoiler that he claims will bubble. What a joke

Bat,

Man, I'm sorry you had a bad experience with them. You know, I recently called them to get a quote on paint for my G and one of the guys there basically yelled at me and said that he didn't have time for a small project like that (whatever that means...you're a body/paint shop...just paint my car!). He said they were so slammed with hail repairs that he would not want to tackle it. (All I need for my car is a front end paint job...pretty routine stuff.) But, hey, if SW doesn't want my money, then whatever...I'll find another place that will want my business...

On a side note, after talking with several paint/body shops, I've found that if you're paying out-of-pocket for a repair/paint job, they won't even want to touch your car. Their big money-makers are (obviously) insurance claims, so anything like paying $3K out-of-pocket for a paint job is pretty much out of the question. It's a shame that it's like that...

Best of luck to you, Bat...

It happens. Good painters are hard to find. And yes a lot of these, you need to find a smaller shop or even one that has someone willing to do a "side job" for cash. ive got a couple more on my list to try....we'll see

I hate to do a thread revival, but I live in the Saint Charles area and Harvestowne Auto Body is a great place to get work done. It is family owned and they took real good care of you. Also had the best quote in the Saint Charles area. Just an FYI.
