For our April meet, we will be combining it with our Spring BBQ on April 30th at Kensington Park
When: Saturday, April 30th start at 11:00am
Where: Kensington Park, Novi (exact lot will be posted the week of the BBQ). The park is one of the nicest metro parks I’ve been to, with a big lake in the center, you can rent canoes, ride bikes etc. We’ll have a football, frisbee and anything other activity (maybe cornhole for you midwesterners).
Who: Pretty much anybody with a Z/G/240 or Nissan/Infiniti is invited as long as you are mature, responsible, and cool to hangout with. We will not tolerate burnouts, revving, etc. You do not have to be a member to come, so feel free to come, bring the family, and meet the group to see what we’re all about.
How: The picnic will be potluck style. Attendees can either bring a food/drink/utensil or chip in a couple bucks (maybe $5? depending on how much you eat lol). I will update this post with a list of who’s bringing what so we don’t have a 20 bottles of soda or something.

Congrats! I graduated in December of 09. What was your major? We may have seen each other in the hallways or had some classes together... Did we just become best friends? Why did you order your G? They didn't have any in the states?

I ordered mine because they didn't have a car with all the things i wanted.
They said they could have dealer install the other exterior options, but it would have raised my lease payment quite a bit, due to the labor charge and what not,
and also, I really didn't mind waiting 3 months, gave me time to save money for some mods, and the fact that she is brand spanking new sounded sweet! lol
and then the earthquake/tsunami hit.... which delayed it 2 more months lol
but oh well, it is what it is, i'm a patient person lol
but before my car comes, i'm probably gonna show up to the greatlakeszclub meets, so I may see you there!

Anyone heading to Chicago to represent Wekfest 2011? There are quite a few of us planning make the 5 1/2 hour drive from Rochester, MN to show up and I'm trying to drum up some interest and get some ppl from the surrounding areas to see if they would like to join up there as well. We could have our own G meet the following day or later that evening as well. August 20th! Gimme a shout or look in our MN G Group for more information Wekfest.com

Here we go - A few questions about this event came up at the meet last night. I think most questions can be answered from their website -

from the 'rules' page..
All convertibles running 13.99 or faster must have a .6 roll bar and shoulder harness.
HELMETS Rentals available at the track for $5
ALL cars must have a lap seat belt. NO SHORTS DRIVER MUST WEAR LONG PANTS
DRIVERS MUST KEEP FRONT WHEEL ON TRACK . NO LIFTING FRONT WHEEL OVER 8 INCHES.FRONT WHEEL MUST BE ON THE TRACK PAST 60FT. MARK
They will charge you $25 for the car & driver, plus $10 extra for each spectator you bring
There is a 'driving tips' section if you have never been to a dragstrip before -
