Does anyone have any experience fighting speeding tickets that have the incorrect vehicle information on them? I got a ticket this past weekend and I looked at the ticket when I got home and it lists me driving a Buick with a totaly incorrect plate number. I'm hoping I have some way to fight it. Any ideas?

 

Wtf? I'd definitely fight that...just go in and explain it ain't your car or plates...gonna be pretty dang hard for the officer to show he meant to stop you if he didn't even list the right plates on the citation.

You have a valid point, but if he swiped your license - I think you're busted. Never hurts to show up though, theres always a chance he can't make it. If they wanted/needed, they could always review the tape and get the true information. Plus, you can get a speeding ticket in any car. Not saying they didn't screw up, but they can just say they don't care who or what car you were in if it was you. Trying to say it wasn't you completely might be opening up a whole other can of worms. Take it from me... lol

BTW - Anyone else have weird issues with this site? It never want to remember me. I'm signed in now to post this, but when I click POST, it will ask me to sign in again. That's part of the reason I'm more of a looker than a talker. I'm excited for the warmer weather though!

 

Hmm? Haven't had any issues what so ever? My laptop keeps me signed in after shutting it down, same with my work computer.

Well, the location is a problem. Got it on the way to my parent's cabin, so I would have to go to Wilmar. Of course he swipped my license and that's the only thing that gets me, has my name and address and license #, but I've never had it with the wrong plate # before.....

If you or Janik don't get it man I think I might have to trade in my impala(+another loan of course..lol) and rock it myself!!!!!!!!!!!!
