Granted it is quiet, but to get the full effect of the exhaust, you need to be outside of the car as its under load. Sounds way deeper and more like a VQ.

I know...you also have to realize that this is coming from the guy who could wake up a few square city blocks before I hit 5k rpm in my old coupe I'm sure it will sound much better with the Y pipe and I will be looking forward to hearing it then I thought it was a catback design

Painted the Rays, it came out really good. About 4 days total, part time. Took them to the tire shop to get the tires mounted back on and the scratched them off so I had to fix them. Pretty happy with the new look. Got rid of the 20's and I wasnt sure how gud my DIY for the curb rash and paint would be but It came out better than I thought.

They look good Trev. I know Hossam was wanting to change his stocks to a semi gloss black too so this might give him an idea of what it might look like.

Sup Fellas, hope everyone had a safe and great 4th!

Just wanted to give a heads up, if any of you try and contact me on my cell, its out of commission for the time being. Didn't know it was on the towel I grabbed yesterday and ended up falling to the bottom of the pool.

Update for this coming weekend, there's been a LOT of talk of the crew liking SUSHI!!!!! So Saturday night we'll plan on meeting up for Sushi! We'll say about 9pm, and I'll figure out the restaurant. We'll make as centralized as possible but avoiding downtown/parking.

Then Sunday we'll get together around 11:00. This will give us time to do our own thing, and then we can cruise into the MNsportcompact meet around 1230(fasionably late of course )

Good morning folks! How's it goin? I will check on my Schedule Lance and hope I can make it. I did a bit of searching and of course found some mixed reviews on it, but at least wanted to let some of u guys know about my comment of 6th gear :P https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-cou...-33-mph-2.html
The manual says you can shift into 6th gear at 33, but of course accelerating is easiest in 4th. I'm sure when I get an exhaust on it I won't be going higher than 4th But for now I'm enjoying my mpg

So I just ran to the bank and realized that there is a very minimal savings from 6th to 5th and a slight increase of fuel from 5th to 4th. I will most likely hang out in 5th around town 35ish mph and save 6th from 45ish and above. Otherwise I only have 240 miles until the 1200 mile mark!!

Haha, It was really crazy when I had my old coupe. I could accelerate from 6th in town like I can from 4th in my Sedan But it was pretty loaded up with nearly every option. I've decided to hold out until next spring on any kind of performance mods, but since I ordered my camber kits from THmotorsports I might see if I can return them and get some lowering springs ( IN THE MEANTIME LANCE!) until I know if I wanna go all out with coils. I know I will want to get a nicer setup with it, but obviously money isn't falling from trees and I'm working on paying down some debt this year....the 3rd time LOL But with returning the camber kits on my M I should be able to get some lowering springs for 40 to 50 bucks.

I would have loved to salvage the VK! , but no. The vehicle is 15" longer than the G so no exhaust components would work and the intake is a single intake, vs the dual throttle body design of the new VQ motor.
