As for the meet next weekend. i'm down for saturday. let me know when and where and i'll be there with my springs and my rear sway bar (had to remove it for some service issue!!!). i agree with Lance, someone should just pick the spring compressor on Friday and bring it with (free that way). I never done a spring install so any one know how long it would take per car so we can figure out how long we should rent the place for? how many cars total? what else am i missing?

I guess that depends how many hands you got doing the swap. I know when Me and Nic got around to doing the second car, we swapped in some s techs in an hour and a half-although it helped that the s techs didn't need to be compressed back onto the front struts since they were already more compact. I think if you got 2 people who know what they're doing it shouldn't take much more than 2-3 hours per vehicle.. The rears should take 30 mins tops! 80 percent of the work is gonna be the fronts.

interesting... i would've guessed that the rears are more difficult to swap!

HAPPY BIRFDAY MIKEY!!!!!!

Peng - are you down for next Saturday? You and me could cruise over to EP and help the guys out. I actually work until 1:00 so I wouldn't be able to get there until atleast 2.

Hossam - I would highly recommend calling the First Gear Garage and reserve if for you guys Saturday. Say like noon to 8? We could def get 2-4 cars done no prob. AIR TOOLS ARE AMAZING~! ...even better with a working compressor! Right Peng?? :-)

The rears just drop down, you set the spring in, and bolt it back up. There's nothing to it what so ever. You don't even have to compress the rear springs to install them.

Yeah, the paint on the hood is a lost cause at this point. It's been damaged too much to do anything without respraying it. But, the did take out nearly all dents free of charge.

A far as spring installs this weekend, I might be free now and would def be down for renting the space to get it done with tools. I'm still not 100% on it yet, but some plans seem to be falling through for the afternoon hours.

It's even more amazing when you have lug locks to your wheels Yeah, I effed up my compressor when I brought it over to your place because when I put it in the van sideways, the water in the tank went up into the motor

And Hossam, It's literally just one bolt to swap out the each rear spring. It'll probably take you longer to take your wheel off, lol.

But regarding Saturday, I think I can make it out. I have plans in the evening but hopefully my afternoon stays clear.

Peng its gonna cost me 242 bucks, but it will be done yet today...so I guess I can't be too upset, nothing else needs to be repaired on it. But I might choose to do the mirror sometime soon, we will see

i think thats about right. and estimating 2-3 hours per car, that would be about 8 hours average just like you estimated.

so who's calling them to reserve? or am I? Anyone has an "in" there for a possible discount for that many hours?
