Maybe you guys can help me out a little too with this. Basically, I have a horrendous rattle that is coming from the door handle "hole" where you would grab and close the door. Basically you have the leather armrest, then the plastic insert (where your switched and stuff are) - then inside of the handle itself, there is another substance. It seems to have a rattle right where the plastic meets this other stuff (non-painted plastic?)

Any ideas on this? I'm thinking of just replacing the hole plastic piece anyways because I've got the easily scratched '07 surface, and I must be the proud owner of Freddie Kruegers car.

Hey Janik - where you getting your tint done? I want to check it out sometime. Do most places tint around the third brake light? I hate when you have dark tint, and this glaring brakelight that they leave hanging out in the untinted open. Seriously? You can't see it if it's behind some tint? Quit being lazy guys. lol Also - do the G's need moleskin like the TL's did? The TL was notorious for scratching tint without it.
pretty sure there is a screw under that silver looking plastic cover/liner. you pop that out and there should be a screw there and i think there might be a screw by the lock lever.

TINT - I highly recommmend street scene tint. Had my 06 g35, the FX35, and my impala done by them and it was PERFECT!!!!!! and 100% warrentied tint.

HOSSAM - the ONLY thing I didn't like about tanabe NF's is that it was an UNEVEN drop. I actually looked into getting the Tanabe GF's which are the Z springs!! = EVEN DROP! The DF's, i agree with Tevi are WAY too low for springs.

..otherwise, go Eibachs

Going to tint pros mobile. Run by the same guy that owned street scenes.

Also test drove the new 12 Audi A7 and it might have been the biggest waste of 70k iv ever sat in.

^ Wannabe - What % are you going with? My G needs tint too but I can't decide between just getting legal 50% or getting something darker and running the risk of getting yanked.

Hoagie - I just lowered my car on Eibach's 1.5 weeks ago and really like the ride.... I just wish the front dropped another 1/4". I've heard mixed reviews about the ride with H&R's but in pics I think the stance looks really good.

I have an apt for May 9th for the UpRev tune, that was the soonest they could get me in but I still think I'll make it to the C&C but don't quote me on that quite yet.

Hossam, the uneven drop is the BAD uneven drop. It has the front higher then the rear...NOT GOOD. It gives it the "boat" look/feel.

Tom - I have had 20% on both of my G coupes and our 05 FX and never had an issue w/ tint. Not to mention rock 5% on my dailydriver ...03 impala.

I got busted consistently in my 05 G for my 35% tint so i said **** it and put 50% on the fronts. Going to do the same on the 2008.

lol... now do you mean that it isn't a good stance in the same aspect as Lance (the front is higher than the rear) or the fact that by having an uneven stance might effect the handling on the car. now that im putting more thought into it, even though the "uneven" stance (the good kind lol) might look nice but it mess up the balance of the car during turns at higher speed. now i'm just guessing since i haven't driven a car with an uneven stance before so AGAIN im just guessing. i almost sounds like i should just buy them all and try each set for a while and see what i like just gotta find a money tree first.

I would love to but i'm going to Tuscon AZ this weekend for a work conference. Should be pretty fun. I think i might be golfing or go on a Jeep tour on sunday, hanging out with Reps saturday and sunday night, and just have to work on Monday morning for like 3 hours but we should plan something out soon after, although i was hoping to order the springs soon so i can get them and install them before CnC.

Seems like i'm not getting it quite right.... so lets take the H-Techs for example, the front height is 0.6 and the rear hight is 0.3, so doesn't that mean that the springs reduce the wheel gap in the front by 0.6" and reduce the rear by 0.3". if this is true then it looks like that the fronts would be lower than the rear?!?!?!? Either that, or based on what you're saying, i have it backwards. which means that the 0.6" is the actual size of the wheel gap (0.6" between the tire surface and the fender outline). and now that i've written all this, i for sure just confused myself. its frustrating i can't figure out a simple concept like this

That just hurts my head looking at it all! Hossam, its about how high the body of the car is lowered from its original stance, not so much to do with the wheel gap in general. Meaning if the car is 22" from the top of the fender to the ground and you lower it .6" it will then sit 21.4". Or 4" ride heigh it will be 3.4" lower. I believe it will also drop the car .6" reducing the wheel gap by quite a bit. As long as the front has a higher drop than the rear, you will get the rake look that most of us are talking about (_____-------) Again the front is typically lower for minimizing body roll and making it more responsive for handling. Like what I texted you this morning/last night.

Sounds like I shouldn't have second guessed myself. Thanks man.

Yeah, what mike said, lol. Here Hossam, here's a good rolling shot showing my rake stance that Nick took when we cruised from Lance's place to Chipotle. But yeah we'll try to meet up when you get back come time next week or something.
