Carbon fiber wotn crack unless you go straight to a 1" drill. In that case anything will crack because of the pressure and torque of the drill.
When you drill through anything especially carbon fiber and fiberglass you want to start with a small drill bit and progress in size. That prevents you from tearing up and shredding the carbon fiber and worst of all creating a spider crack.

We are moving into a new shop with in the next day or two which is going to give us the proper space to make these splitters daily. Our current shop is small, has no insulation, and no heat so we are being forced to move in order to work. We are still working of course but the front splitters need to be finished in a better heated area and we only have one done which we are working out shipping arangements for it so far.
