Throttle body conversion

Just a question for y'all:

I've been doing research on throttle body options for the vq37vhr, and the only solid thing i could find was an option to have the stock 58's bored out to a nice 63mm on the stock tb's.

I've heard since that the tb's for the Maxima (03-08 i think?) have the same connections, but just need a custom bracket to make fit. I was thinking about just going ahead and doing it myself, but i wanted to make sure there's wasn't anything out there that i've overlooked.

next slew of questions:

-for that much of an increase in flow, how risky would it be to run (assuming i get the maxima tb's to fit) them on without a tune?
i'm super cheap (aka broke) and don't have the tune on the schedule until about mid-end of next year.

-would it create a significant of a choke point if i don't up the diameter of my intake tubes?

-can anyone speak to this as far as experience or what you've seen? it doesn't have to be on the vq37vhr, just some details on what to expect from that much of an increase of air flow.

I think your wasting your time imo. Our cars don't make much gains from N/A mods. Putting on a maxima TB is going to give you additional problems with little to no gains.

I'm building for boost. Looking for every bit I can prep to squeeze out pwr before then

Why does everyone think I'm going strictly NA...?

LOL that would make more sense now. Would help if you posted along the line of talking about FI.

Are you going piggy back or standalone?

Going for Osiris in the meantime till I finish, then switching to ecutek for more variables to control. I'm shooting for a reliable 600-700 hp. I figured with cams, valvetrain, forged internals, and supporting cooling mods I can get there.

I just wanted to know in general how it would effect driving/normal operations, so I can decide which size I want.

More isn't always necessarily better.

I got on 63 mm tbs... felt a gain in torque but I don't have numbers. I got them from Synolimit. The best bang for buck is forced induction though.
