Berk Testpipes = check engine light :(
Just got my Testpipes installed
I love the sound.
Only negative is the engine light came on and won't go off. (Code is cat converters surprise surprise)
I know the Berk website said the defouler design protected against this but was more effective on G35s.
Has anybody else had success getting rid of it?
Thnx

Reset and wait for it to cycle. Sometimes it triggers for people after the install. At least, that's the opinion I've seen here. My FI cats worked just fine from day one, although not the same thing as your test pipes, I get that. G'luck.

A bit of 0000 steel wool in the J bung might keep the worst of the **** off the O2 sensor. Try it, and cycle your ECU, see if it comes back.
You should probably get a tune anyways, you can switch off that sensor with uprev

If the CEL is persistent after clearing a few times, take the car to a decent shop and have an extender welded on.

I didn't put any in my J-bung, I got a tune and my tuner just switched off those O2 sensors. I imagine it's enough to provide a filter matrix, I wouldn't pack it in there like a pipe.
Cycling the ECU means resetting it using the weird pedal dance.
I had to try 4-5 times before I got it. Resetting your ECU clears the engine codes that are already present, but if the ECU senses the the problem is continuing, then it will turn the light back on. For example, if you don't plug in a MAF sensor in your intake, your car will idle weirdly and you'll get a CEL. If you just plug it in, the light tends to stay. If you reset the ECU, at this point, the problem is fixed and won't come back. However, if you have low oil and reset the ECU, the low oil light will still be on.
