Finally installed it today. Gotta say i'm not in love with it. I feel like a honda with a fart can driving around. Does the riciness of the sound go away as it breaks in? If not I'll probably be re-installing the stock exhaust. Also wanted the rolled tips and they were out so I got a straight cut with a note saying sorry they were out...

Wait what?

I thought putting on HFC's helped with power because it was one of the more restrictive parts of the stock exhaust system?

Why aren't ART pipes like that?

Thats quite... upsetting =\ I remember when I first installed my exhaust it smelled and was a little smokey while burning off chemicals from the metal but the sound was pretty much on point immediately. Are you running anything else besides the cat back e370? (test pipes or high flow cats?) Did you install it yourself or have a shop do it. check for leaks and make sure everything is connected 100% properly and lined up perfectly. this exhaust should be the furthest sounding thing from the ricey rattle and fart can sound of autozone muffler on a 1980s honda

I'd buy it from ya if you do look to sell it though lol

Art pipes do remove the restriction and in a large part better than HFC's. They are designed for more low end torque over HFC and test pipes.

I'll let you know if I pull it off. Gonna run it for a week or two and see if it grows on me. I'm in northern VA near Leesburg for reference

Yea I had a shop install it. Just the e370 cat back nothing else, no intakes, etc. I'll try to get underneath it and check everything but I doubt there are any leaks. My friend got in it today to head down to Tysons and laughed and told me it sounded like a ricer. My dad said the same thing. And honestly it sounds that way to me as well. I honestly think the stock exhaust sounded better at this point. Kept thinking to myself today that I've de-classed my car. And just so you know I'm 23, not an old guy haha.

sounds mean when you start it up (especially in the parking garage at Tysons) but driving around can't help but think it sounds ricey

I'll take some sound clips tomorrow or saturday depending on the rain. I have a nice mic I was going to make a comparison vid with stock and put it on youtube.

Ok, I thought that was right. But I must have misread the other post, I thought the poster was saying by putting RHFC's on over oem I'd be losing low-mid power

I would have prob gone test pipes or art pipes but here in MA we have an emissions inspection every year

Very nice comparison video!

So what exhaust are you going to try next? Or are you just going to stick with stock?

i'm actually going to stick with the motordyne for now. But if the motordyne comes of I'll just be going back to stock I think. Doubt I will like any of the other exhausts for it.
