OK, NOT getting the HPS for now. STOPTECH Drilled & Slotted Rotors and Posi Quiet Pads are HERE! Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

8-29, Just got off the phone and purchased a set of STOPTECH Front & Rear Stainless Steel Brake Lines for $163 shipped. Figured if I was going to do it, might as well do it right. Again, the Main reason I am doing this (Besides better braking of course) is for LOOKS! I am sure I will be pleasantly surprised by the increase in performance, especially since I bought my G37 with 32,000 miles on it and I am sure the pads were not that new. They didn't squeek or anything, But????????????

OK this has morphed into a Brake and Rotor Topic. Let's end this with a little Love.

I have created a New Fly RAP by "Bandit G":

Things Can Change I knock on Wood
I look so Pretty but all is Good
I shuck the Corn Don't eat no Rhines
I looking Boss with my Stainless Lines

My Rims are Sexy my tires Wide
My name is G, so don't call me Clyde
It's the end of the story, the end of my Rap
When I see ya next, I'll tip my Cap

Holllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaa Biyyyyyyyatchesssssssssssss

You must have been a terror as a child.

Only thing to look out for with uncoated braided lines is that you are not rubbing any parts of the chassis under full compression/steering etc. The abrasive outer coating can cut through softer parts. That's why I went with Z1 premium lines. Performance will be the same though.

Let us know how you like the pads. be sure to bed them in properly to the manufacturer's recommendations (since you are using new rotors you don't need to prep them at all).

Also, corn has husks, not "rhines" [sic]. Your rap is whack, yo.

Husk don't rhyme with Stainless Lines........... Or, if you want to get specific, I could be shuckin corn husks, AND, have a bag of Pork Rhines next to me that I decided not to eat. It makes sense, you just have to let go and lock into my flow. I really don't even like Rap that much. I mean I do, but it's far from my favorite music.

Seriously, I am curious about your comments, especially in BOLD (I bolded). So are you saying since I have new rotors I Do Not need to do a Bed in process?

Thanks

Bandit.........

No I meant you don't have to remove any old pad material before use since they are new. You still need to bed them once installed.

OMG. Bandit, take your car and your new brake parts to a skilled and trusted mechanic. Otherwise you're going to be starting a "warped rotors" thread in a couple months. Not that there is such a thing as warped rotors, but that's how people refer to the problem.

I have a friend that owns 21st century Muscle Cars in Addison, TX (Nice shop), AND a local guy (friends now) that's been doing this for 25 years and will charge me probably $100-$150 to do Exhaust, Brake Rotors, Pads, Stainless Lines, and Sway Bars.

It will be done right.

Good man. Just don't distract him with a slam reading. Your life is at stake.

Excellent. A trusted mechanic is a priceless resource.

However, for exhaust, full brakes and sway bars... no matter how good he is, that's a full day's work. If he's your friend, I hope you're giving him a heck of a lot more than $100 for that effort.
