I'd add better brakes to your list. I like brakes.
I think you and I have whored the panties off of Bandit's thread. But at least we've done it in a non-threatening, on-topic manner. Mostly.

Those Michelin PSS fit the bill. But I don't think Bandit has the Akebono BBK. And nice as it is (and believe me, it's nice ), you're talking about a $2000+ mod. That's a big chunk of change for brakes on a daily driver.

I think we've played pretty nice

Agreed on the akebonos... but you don't have to go with a BBK to improve upon the brakes. Better pads and SS lines will make a noticeable difference on a street driven car.

The ET500's I just put on make me giggle when I press the 'no' pedal. SS lines still on their way.

Yes, absolutely, I agree. But as an upgrade opportunity during maintenance, when it's time for new pads. New pads for the sake of new pads seems kind of gratuitous.

You've got the same BBK I have in my 6MT, and from a normal driving point of view, these brakes are simply heroic. Love them. ET500's, eh? I'm going to have to make note of that. Digging up my spreadsheet right now.

(Yes, I have a spreadsheet. Don't have me because I'm beautiful.)

In the quest for real performance, nothing is gratuitous And changing pads is so easy to do, and not that expensive.

Just reviewed the ET500's here. Yes, the factory brakes are good... but this simple mod shows you how good they can really be. Pedal feel and torque is close to Audi R8 territory (best braking street car I've ever driven).

Excellent review. And smart application... you've shamed most DIY'rs with brake knowledge, IMO.

And now I hate you.

Don't hate, my friend. My amazon order for the pads came out to $223. That's cheap for the performance gain! Doo eeet.

Hey, bandit, if you get he HPS tubes, you will need better brakes to slow down.

Phew, still on topic. :P

Are you? Are you really?

As long as you address the OP directly, or speak to his topic (whatever it was).

Right, Bandit?

WTF just happened. What about the Rap I made up, now it's lost in the shuffle of all these posts. It's cool.

OK lets talk Brakes, you touched on something I was looking at (SS Brake Lines). OK Good Brakes are GREAT, but $2K for Brakes, who cares. If it stops really good, and way better than stock, then that's perfect!

I Haven't installed anything and there is time to change a few things:

For Brakes I just bought & have the following sitting at my house:

1. Stop Tech Drilled & Slotted Rotors

2. Posi Quiet Brake Pads (Heard Hawk HPS weren't that great and have LOTS of dust)

I want opinions! The guys at BuyBrakes.Com said Posi Quiets were good and low dust and I could spend double, but wouldn't get that much of a difference.

I want GREAT Bite, but Low dust because I don't want to clean my rims everday!

Help?????????????????????????????? Which Ones??????????/

3. Stainless Steel Brake Lines (I DID NOT GET), But, I might buy before I install the brakes. Guy said I probably wouldn't notice that much, but it did help. I think I am going to order since they are dirt cheap.

These good enough I guess?

No experience with the posi quiets so can't help you there... But my opinion had been stated on the Racingbrake pads! Anything is probably better than stock.

Newt, my friend TunerMax (from your fog light thread) just dropped $2k on the Akebono BBK for his 2003 G35S Sedan 6MT. AFAIK, there are no regrets... other than shipping costs to Canada.

ashmostro, I drove a co-worker's SLK55 AMG this summer, and those 6-piston brakes made my G feel almost mundane. So in a small sense, I get what you're saying about the R8. And no, I don't really hate you.
