Meh, could be worse. I'd rather read Bandit than a troll, so it's all good.

Bandit, bump this thread with pics when you're done. No need to create a new thread. Seriously, there's no need.

I Love you Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really Been awhile since I got excited about modding. I have a 2001 C5 Vette with every Bolt on known to man. I am almost done with the mods on my G?
I think?????????????????? We are never done!

So Far I've got (Or it's here, or soon to be shipped, and ready to be installed): LED interior & back up Lights, Aluminum Pedals, Hotchkiss Sways, ARK Grip CBE, Stop Tech Drilled and Slotted Rotors and Posi Quiet Pads, Hard Wired Escort 9500ix Radar on Blendmount Mount, 7 Speed Transmission ReProgram, 19" OEM Coupe Sport Rims, 19" Michelin Super Sport Tires, Updated 2012 Navigation Software, Ball Pads (Pads that are positioned under my nuts to counteract bumps and potholes).

In summary, I am Three things:

Smart, Entertaining, and Good Looking (not really, but I'm trying to build up my self esteem).

Not necessarily in that order..........

P.S. I will get pics when I get everything installed. Have 3 major things to install, Rotors, CBE, Sways.

lol bandit, your posts always crack me up.

I wouldn't go with the JWT pop chargers if you're doing the HPS tubes. Biggest advantage those HPS have over any other intake is they don't absorb heat and make use of the already well designed stock system. Switching to a pop charger with open filters and aluminum will just get more heat soak and you might as well have gone with something that would look more attractive in the engine bay if you went that route.

Seriously, I was all pumped to get an air intake. they work GREAT on a Vette and you feel it Big Time. After reading so many reviews, it seems the CAI's on these cars don't do a whole lot, and in many cases, seem to have the effect of losing Low End Torque.

I don't understand why, more air in, more air out is usally a proven formula for more power. These HP tubes are basically worthless, albiet, they look cool and might help throttle response a little bit and combined with other mods, might help a little bit.

I know I am getting off track here, slightly, but I AM getting a CBE (on the way this week), likley will eventually ADD HFC's or RHFC's. I want to see what the CBE alone does first so I have some sort of comparison when and if I DO install a pair of HFC's.

I REALLY want some more low end power, or a "SOTP" performance Increase! What the heck can I get besides a super charger? I mean what other mod is going to make my car have more UUUUMMMMPPPPHHHHHHHH?

A CAI? HFC's? I knwo a tune will help some, but even that basically only changes your Air Fuel Ratios and is unneeded unless you do major mods as our PCM's Learn on their own pretty well and adjust and eventually compensate for changes / mods.

I still can't believe that an air intake gives such poor gains on these cars? I Bet if you had holes drilled in your front bumper (where the plastic weaved mesh is on MY car at least) and had scoops going directly into the air intake. You would probabkly notice more gains!

They make this for the Vette and it is called a VaraRam

I have an older yet very effective CAI by Breathless Performancecalled a " Ram Air Intake" on my Vette which sucks up air from UNDER the Car. You cut a hole under the box in your plastic radiator shroud. Gains like 25-40 HP! Really!

.

Oh well, I am going to FIRST get all my stuff installed so I can enjoy it:

Sways I KNOW will FEEL great. Have them on my Vette, so thats a good Mod.
ARK Exhaust will definately sound louder/better than stock, so that's cool too.
Drilled & Slotted Rotors/new Pads will Look Cool and provide much better braking performance than what I got now.

That HPS (If I get it) is $120 shipped if you look around, and looks cool and might help some.

Good luck with the ball pads.

It's a lot easier to sit on the sidelines waffling over the smallest decision and criticizing others for mods. Do what you do and stay happy.

BTW I have more than a few mods including HPS and drop-ins, for me they didn't add sound or power but I haven't had a tune yet either that will have to wait for FI next year.

I might just skip the HPS intakes. No need to mess with that. Nobody's going To see them and they really don't do much anyhow.

How about a true CAI? No major gains in power, but sounds the bananas.

...in that order, mixed in with maintenance and repairs and the mortgage.

Take your time. Take a few years even.

I think he's running Michelin PSS already. So he's got that going for him.

I'd add better brakes to your list. I like brakes.
