Injen SP series ram air intake

Just installed this today on my 08' and it's pretty simple. Only trouble was the hose clamps that hold the air horn/filter to the intake pipe is about half an inch to short. A quick trip to the local pep boys fixed the problem with a new set of slightly larger clamps....the intakes are in and it's pretty sweet I think

I highly recommend getting these before you install the system....it made it much easier. The maker should use these instead of the slightly smaller diameter clamps that came with my kit....

did you have any trouble with the rubber sleeves slipping from the intake piping? it was a PITA for me getting it to stay in place.

I did notice that if tightened just a little too much the sleeves wanted to slide off the hump on the pipe, so I just tightened then just enough and I think it should hold. Probably why the instructions say to re check the clamps and fasteners...

I sold my CAI (Tekeda) because the materials included(couplers) were really flimsy and got the Injen short ram because they were much less of a PITA to install and I have Injen CAI on my bug eye Subaru and I love Injen I already love it and it's only been a day lol

So how is this an upgrade from the stock set up? Once the hood closes, it essentially forms a box. Except the stock has cooler air coming in from the ducts that lead to the front.

Im sure it sounds a lot better though.

Was thinking the same. Only difference I see is that without the box, it would be a little louder...

I don't know, judging bu the air horn that is used and the open end design of the filter I'd say that more filter surface has to be better....especially when funneled by the air horns....just mho

Great intake!! Had it on aswell for about 6 months now no problems with nice sound. I have it paired with a Invidia exhaust and going in for a reflash soon in order to get rid of the throttle lag and get some more power. I would recommend this intake to everyone easy install with great fitment.

I had the same problem too. I thought it was from excess sweat/oil from my hands but I guess not. Gave it a good cleaning (rubber sleeve and pipe), that worked well.
