The cone filter has more surface area to draw more air in and at a faster rate as compared to stock. And like the stock intakes, it draws in cooler air from those ducts leading to the front. . . . thus yielding an extra 1,056.5 horsepower. I am no chief mechanical engineer but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

The piping itself is bigger, the surface of the air filter is bigger. Which means more air, might not be cooler air than stock but I myself plan on making better ducting behind the grille to help.

Noob question. Do I have to remove the engine cover (along with my gt concept strut bar) to install this? thanks!

I would not use that clamp! as it's going to crack your rubber!

Looking at OP post! he has the tube pushed down way to far with hump inside the filter!!!

That's bad!

The system is designed to clamp over the hump! you don't need that much clamp force as the rubber will shrink from heat and seal!

No, you dont have to remove anything.
