you are right. Im going there today or tomorrow with OEM filiters in place. Im used to fighting with these guys...i was one of the unfortunate ones that had to get the engine block replaced due to oil consumption issue. That was a real joy to finally get them to do something about it...

^No kidding.

If it's a cylinder misfire, I don't think it's due to the air filters. Usually misfires are due to spark plugs. Have them replace the plug that is misfiring. If you have a smartphone and the Torque app, you can check A/F ratios. Are you running 91 octane gasoline? I'm just throwing stuff out there as a misfire can be a symptom of a lot of things. Timing chain, bad ignition pack, etc...

Keep us updated!

I was gonna ask if you've used more than one type of fuel since codes have been popping up?

So here is latest...

I went to dealership to clear the CEL code after i put OEM filters back in....
That was about 2 weeks ago.....the light has not come back on.....but the dealership had to make things difficult: instead of just clearing the code and sending me on my way, they swapped the mass air flow sensors (not replaced, just put the left one on the right side and vice versa)...

So now i dont know what the real cause of the CEL was....i would assume however that if the culprit was one of the sensors that it would still trigger the CEL...correct?

I also have to keep in mind that it was months before my first CEL light re-illuminated...the second last time it illuminated it did so within 72 hours of having the code cleared...
Anyways...so far so good but i would rather have the K&N's in there though...

I would say out them back in if the light hasn't come back on. If it still doesn't come back on, I would say whatever the stealership did fixed the problem and that it wasn't your K&N.
