Okay, I am trying to install the Tekeda CAI on my G37s and I have run into some trouble with the install and any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. How are you supposed to tighten the clamps for the main piping to the curved couplers that run through the radiator core support?? there's just no room to do that! also, any idea on where the "H shaped mounts" are fastened to the car?? I am stuck and need help please, thanks in advance.....any links to a DIY???

did you remove the stock air scoops so you can insert the reducer coupling through it?

BTW...the instruction manual is pretty self explanatory.

Did you buy it new? If not, Im not sure you have everything that you need. It's pretty straight forward IF you have everything.

I bought it new and I falloweed the manual exactly........where the couplers mate up with the main intake tube (the ones that hold the MAF's) there is no way to tighten the clasp....I can feel the inside of the intake tube by sticking a finger through in between the coupler and the tube....wtf??? I know that can't be right so wtf am I not doing right here??......also having a bitch of a time with the springs that hold the HID bulb in place....good god what a pain in the ***!

what spring are you talking about? Bro, I didn't have that hard of a time doing the install. The MAFs don't go on or near any couplers.

I'm not usually one to give up but that one step of the install just proved to be just hard enough to make me decide to go with a short ram While I had the bumper off I installed some CF splitters and some 8000K HID bulbs. Both mods look awesome but paying $300+ for a CAI that I didn't install blows. Next upgrade day will be the short rams, LED DRL's, and blacked out tails.....and the spring I was talking about was the one for the HID bulbs (which I finally got put on)

You are better off putting the stock back on and getting some K&N drop ins. You dont want that hot air.

Dude, Patience is a virtue. You need to assemble everything loosely. Yes, the couplers that run through the front are loose, but as you assemble and fit everything you can use a long screw driver or nut driver to tighten the clamps a little at a time. The one on the left requires a longer driver that you can stick through one of the holes in the top of the front support/beam area. Thus, you need to grab the clamp when it is loose and turn the whole thing to align with your screw driver. Then, keeping your hand around the clamp and pipe, apply pressure with the driver and turn. This was indeed a tight area to work in and there is only one way to get that passenger side clamp. You NEED to be patient, and fit, test fit, check fit, check fit again, BEFORE tightening all the clamps.

You CAN do this! Now get out there and try again!

It's just a clearance thing. Don't give up so easily. The instructions right above are dead on.
