GTR Axle Back

Sorry for the questions but I'm a complete noob to exhaust . Anyways, I have a friend that has a cousin selling his GTR Exhaust and I love that sound and I was wondering:

1.Will the entire catback fit w/out modifications, or should I just get the axle back and get my own custom 2.5" piping. (I plan to chop off the quad tips and weld on dual tips)

2.Think there will be any drone ?

3. Basically, will there be any issues with doing this mod ? Please give me your insight and comments.

The output of your/our vehicles doesn't match that of a GTR so it won't sound like one either. With that said, go for it, I'm always down to see something different.

Exhaust system from Nissan GT-R installed on stock Infiniti G37s - YouTube

Care to explain, cause in this video and the G35 videos, they sound pretty spot on

If its your friends cousin... Couldnt you just pay him to put it on and see how it sounds and if you dont like it just give it back to him

Hate to break it to ya but you can also get catback exhausts that are made for the car that sound like that. It's called the VQ sound. Like I previously said, go for it!

Sorry, autocorrect. "some people like that" was what I meant to type.

Here's the local G35 that has it installed. Meh.

First the rear defuser/bumper will have to be modified for the dual tips, second if it doesn't direct bolt up any decent muffler shop could make it work for minimal funds. Third you should be asking the guy with the video as he has done the install and people on here haven't.

Thanks for the reply. I plan on going Dual tips as in not quads, one tip each side. I just thought maybe people here have an idea of what should be done to accomplish this.

But here's my last worry. I hear it's bad to have 3" piping due to having less lower end torque. Is that true? And by how much ? Noticeable ?

Bump. How bad is the torque loss due to having 3" pipings.
