R2C intake installed...initial impressions...
Just installed my R2C intake yesterday. Installation was fairly simple. Assembling the intake tubes, shields and filter took about 45mins...removing the stock intake and installing the new one took about an hour. Once I got under the hood and looked around it was pretty straight forward. I was even able to use the stock tubing on the passenger side without it folding on itself too much.
At cruising speeds...under 3 rpms...you don't hear any difference. When you hit about 3.5 rpms you get a little more of a deep rumble. At WOT it roars nicely...definitely surprised me. Its not obnoxious, raspy or rice-sounding at all...just a deep throaty sound. I had my windows down, sunroof open and radio off all day so I could enjoy the sound. Performance seems a little better but not much...could also be a placebo effect (thinking performance is improved because the car sounds louder). I bought the intake for the sound improvements...not really because of any minimal performance gains
Overall I'm very happy with it and definitely recommend it to others.
I'll take a video when I go for a drive later so you guys can hear what it sounds like at different rpms

I just took my stillen gen3's off last night and installed a motordyne intake manifold and also installed some r2c's. With both installed over the stillen gen3's, i noticed a very healthy gain and it sounds much much better than then gen3's. I almost feel like the engines responsiveness has increased (i.e. blipping the throttle when downshifting) is much smoother. Ill do a review as well but glad you like yours, mine are putting a smile on my face when i open it up. She ROARS now

"well, you should have eaten a bagel instead"
Really doesn't make sense...but thanks for your $.02??
OP - I'm glad you like your R2C intake. I installed mine a couple months ago and like it as well. It didn't give me any noticeable HP increase so I was kind of disappointed in that but it dresses up the engine bay really nicely and the sound is great at WOT. I ended up going with a black intake. Have fun with it.

I'm not interested in getting into a debate about this "intake" or any others. So please don't clutter this thread up with you should've done this, or you should've gotten this one, or this one is better because...save that for another thread. Not looking for opinions...just sharing my experiences with others on the boards who had similar questions about this particular intake. Thanks
