Please help with engine filters....
Guys,
Could you please advise on what engine filters are actually good? My 2009 G37x coupe just got to that time of change, the dealer is asking for $65 for oem engine and $120 for cabin..I think it's a rip off and could easily install them myself, but just don't know what to buy from where. I initially wanted to go with amazon k&n 33-2399 but then I read stories with the car going worse need to reset ECU etc...I really don't want to have any issues like that.
Your help will me much appreciated!
Thank you!

Get K&N and install them yourself while saving money and adding, like, 2 horsepower meanwhile, lol. Your car will not be worse with K&N's, because K&N make great products. The ECU reset might help, but they're not significant enough to need one. The only people who have problems with these filters are the ones who improperly over-oil them with time, since they can be reused. I bought mine new, installed them, and it's been a few months with zero issues. I highly recommend doing these. They're so much better than the stock paper crap filters. You're guaranteed not to have any problems if you don't oil them yourself. And they last long, so you could just get a set of new ones with time.

You don't need to oil the new ones for a long, long time. They will last longer than your stocks before you need to re-oil them. Out of the box, they come perfectly oiled and ready to install. Slip 'em in and you're done. By the time they need to be re-oiled or replaced, you can just get new ones and save yourself the risk.
For the in-cabin one, I suggest going to the dealership and buying it there if you want to do it yourself. There is a great DIY on it. If not, have them replace it.

You can buy regular Wix engine air filters at your local O'reilly auto parts for about $22 for the pair. I forgot how much the cabin filter is but it's not more than that. Or you can buy them online at Amazon even cheaper If you are not in a hurry.

If you have O'reilly near you just go in and ask them for the Wix air filter and cabin air filters for your car. I've had great luck for many years using Wix air, fuel, and oil filters.
Or feel free to Google it if you want to be sure of the right part numbers. Yes, the ones you listed are correct. WIX Filters : Filter Look-Up

With regard to the wix oil filters, it appears their site lists two different numbers, depending on the year.
2008-2009 51365
2010+ 51358
51365
51358
51358
51365
Looks like 358 is slightly taller (~.2"), while the 365 has a slightly higher flow rate, higher burst pressure, and different beta (efficiency) rating.
I have a number of yamaha - 5GH-13440-20 and a few kawi equivalent filters that I used on the bike. The yamaha filter cross references to wix 51358, so I'm assuming it would fit... But would it work properly?

One thing weird, for the wix cabin filter I got there is no air flow arrow indication, the filter seems to be the same on both sides?
