Air Intake Help

The car is a 09 Nissan Skyline V36 250GT (JDM) which on the surface equates to the Infiniti G25.

I trying to figure out what options I have when it comes to the Intake, R2C CAI seems to be pretty popular here. Does anyone know if this will fit the G25.

Some research points.

1. Both have the same engine VQ25HR.
2. All VQ engines seem use the same throttle body and intake gasket (G37, G35 MY2008+, and G25) - which indicates they're about the same size. These were not actually measured but the OEM part numbers are the same for all.
3. Engine layout to appears to be the same on the surface.

The guys from R2C suspect it may fit but any help I can get from you guys would be appreciated.

NOTE: I'm not in the US and access to other G's is not possible. This may be the only V36 on the island.

Thanks in advance

It should work fine, should bolt right up, intake/tb and all that other stuff is the same for a 37, block smaller displacement. It should bolt right up, good luck

Don't mean to be a d*ck but how certain are you?

I agree with you that on the surface everything looks identical, even the throttle body has the same OEM Number accross the range.

Guy from Tunerz Store said it wouldn't fit (don't know if they ever tried to fit one), another guy from R2C was on the fence.

So nothing concrete till you. (I think it will fit, but what do i know)

As of March I know AEM was looking for G25 fitments, K&N is universal for just filters, but other then that, there have not been intakes made specifially for the G25 yet, and I don't believe the G37 ones will fit.

Although, there are people saying it SHOULD fit, but I haven't found anyone that has actually done it.

Here's a post on the 35 site as well w/ the same ?. http://g35driver.com/forums/g37-v36-...5x-engine.html

Just finished off a conversation with Margaret of Stillen, she says that R&D tried to fit the GEN3 on the G25 and it wouldn't fit. She didn't know exactly what or why it didn't fit though.

The the craziest **** every as the use the same throttle bodies, and air cleaner tubing. The OEM Part numbers are the same for crying out loud.

Nissan/Infiniti is really messing around now.

I'm convinced there something that will fit, this car is pretty popular in Japan but I can seem to find a Japanese forum to find out what they're using. (Australian guys only run the 350GT = G37 so they were no help)

Anyone have any english speaking Japanese contacts?

Just talked to rep at stillen, he does not know if it will work, they are still testing it, i can tell u that the gen 2 intake system from stillen will work, but the gen 3 is undetermined, all i know i put it into my 37 and it wasent just drop in and go, you still had to cut stuff and move some stuff
so what the heck, if i had a 25 i would do it!, but the gen 2 will for sure work.

Yes, the cutting of holes didn't sit too well with me with the Stillen, that what attracted me to the R2C.

About the Gen2 did their say for sure it would fit, because she told me that there's nothing that currently fit the G25.

AEM just responded said there was nothing in their product line either.

Guy from R2C sent me a welding diagram but it had no measurements or dimensions on it so still nothing to report from them. I have the feeling he's getting pist with me asking all those questions.

lol, what the worst that can happen...

I'm not in the US so it would just be a pain and a bit expensive to ship the system back or try to sell it on ebay so I would rather get it right first.

Did you get the name of the rep you spoke to?

if u have any concerns then dont do it, i know u dont live here, so just wait untill something comes on the market for your veh. making performance gains on veh has been going on ever since cars were built, sometimes u have to try something to see if it works or not. if you are affraid that it will do something then dont do it
