I like my HFCs but it depends on the exhaust. Knowing what I know now I'd never put them on an MXP setup again. With my ARK? They sound great. FI? From what I've heard they sound great, too. The only thing you might find strange is they're going to have a whistle sound when your revs drop and you're in the 3k-3.5k RPM range. Almost like a tiny BOV noise. I don't mind the sound, but some people hate it. I bought mine to stay smog legal and open up some restriction. Not sure what state you're in either, but if you're trying to stay smog legal in CA, I'm pretty sure not all of them will pass, like my Berks most likely.

I've had Fast Intentions' HFC's on with their CF cat-back, and all I can say is that it sounded amazing, but was very loud! The HFC's add a good 20%-25% of sound, but they also add about 80% more drone. If you don't mind it droning in your interior, go ahead and buy them, because the set-up sounds fantastic. The only reason I got rid of mine was to decrease the drone in terms of daily-driven comfortability.

Another thing you might want to keep in mind: If you're getting a CBE + HFC combo, you'll definitely need to consider a tune (UpRev). Only then you'll see worthy gains.

Sena, i'm actually thinking about getting a HFC as well...i'm looking at Kinetix cause 1) they're the cheapest out there, and 2) they won't rust like Berks (flame suit on!)....

we should probably set up a group buy cause i also know someone else who wants to get a hfc for his 350z....

Theres a threat floating around about losing torque bc of opening up the restrictions with HFC's.

From: Framingham Ma,
I did not get them and most likly will not. To make and extra 15-20 WHP??? For possible droan, rasp, CEL's, and maybe to loud. Plus the we all know it has the Buzzing sound..

I had Berks on my 08 did not like the buzzing but tool them off for other reasons.

Sena: The whistling isn't really obnoxious and only heard with the windows down on my car at least.

I highly recommend YES, simply for the power gains. If you're concerned with sound, go RHFC's from FI. This is the route i will be going s00n w/ my FI CB SS
