Stillen Gen 3 CAI ?

For those who have the Stillen gen 3, hows the low end performance? I've read reviews about an increase in hp at the top end but i'm looking to see if there's a loss of tq at the low end. I have the invidia exhaust an I think the stillen intake will work well together.

Thanks,

Oh, I've searched and have read the dyno numbers, but it all seems to focus on the top end. I'm just trying to see from someone with the stillen if they lost or gained any down low.

Since I'm looking into doing the same thing as both of you I will ask here :P I just picked up a sedan on Saturday, up to 450 miles already. Is there anything I should be worried about in regards to installing an exhaust or the gen 3 intake system too soon? I wouldn't think it would affect the engine adversely as long as I baby it and don't get on it hard. Input from either of ya?

^^ Agree. Can't go wrong with gen 3 but also don't expect miracles in sound or performance because it still is just a cai.

I honestly don't feel any difference in the low end losing torque/hp. I can say that there is definitely a better pull 3.5-4k and up. Besides think about it, if you are doing spirited driving you should be staying in the higher RPM's anyway.. my 2 cents.

Same opinion here. Had my gen 3's for 2 weeks and didn't notice any loss/gain at low rpm's but mid range up you can definitely feel it. Good buy - pain in the @$$ to install!!!

Yeah install was a pain...cant really notice any gains low end... Can't really hear the CAI after installation of hfc but you can feel it at mid and high end range

Is there any way to get around cutting the plastic inlets in the frame? Can they be removed somehow?

No way to go around it but I really felt that cutting was the easy part IMO... Fitting everything else took a lot more time for me.
