Not knowing if a K&N should be oiled tells me you should have stuck with stock filters. Be aware that you can also over oil a K&N filter.

Be very light with the oil. That crap can get all over your maf and make your car rum like ****. I never oiled my cotton gauze filters, but that's just me.

ya man should've just saved up the extra 150 instead of wasting 200 on some ebay crap. but its too late now. maybe see if you can return it somehow?
