Uprev review and dyno tune

Took my 2008 G37S to Z Car Garage in San Jose, CA and had it dyno tuned. Was pleasantly surprised as the car was mostly stock. My only mods are the Tanabe mufflers and R2C intake. I did not feel much from the butt dyno with either of these mods when I installed them, but the tune is indeed a noticable improvement. Have not really opened the car up at speed yet as it is raining (note the raindrop smears in the blue ink on the dyno chart).

The owner of Z Car Garage, Rob Fuller, seems to be the consummate professional and takes a lot of pride in his work. There are Zs and Gs parked all around his shop and the guys in the shop are busy. Rob told me he has been working with Datsun/Nissan since he was in high school and it is his passion. He said my G was on the rich side and changed the fuel map to lean it out and ignition timing maps to advance timing to produce the best performance gains.

13HP peak and 6ft-lbs max increase in torque, but the gains were across the RPM spread. Not bad for just a tune on a basically stock car?

The dyno was a Dynojet and, no, I don't have a baseline before mods.

Yeah Rob is a good guy. He knows most of these cars are daily drivers so he wants it to drive like you want to... but to not be so over the top that it ruins the quality of the car.

he'll take the time to educate as well to make sure that what he does is understood and achieve the BEST, not necc the highest, results.

He'll go all out if you want him to... but he doesn't believe in doing so unless it's only a track car. but he does like to have fun. and can really drive your car (stock) to the limits.

one irk tho cause he couldn't break into my car's ECU so he still owes me something for the money I spent for his two attempts.
