Exclamation MUffler Installation costs

hi guys

I want to keep the stock piping up until the exhaust for now. BUt want to buy just NEW MUFFLERS for a little more growl.

Can anyone give me an idea of costs approx. they paid to just change the mufflers?

IF you have - let me know your thoughts of ONLY changing mufflers since you have it. thanks

if you're talking about an axel-back exhaust (like the Megan Racing), it should only cost you about 10 minutes. a full cat-back maybe 20 minutes. Jack the car up and simply DIY. Unless you legitimately have no idea how to use a socket wrench, it's a complete waste of money to pay someone to install an exhaust for you

it takes 2 seconds to change as long as the fitment is good. otherwise a shop will charge like 50-100

If you get the direct bolt on, its like everybody else said a 10 minute job and if you have even a tiny mechanical knowledge, you can do it yourself.

You have a sedan or coupe. But to have just mullers fabbed to a sedan should be around 60-80$$.

OP, are you asking for the cost of the muffler + install or just cost of installation of the mufflers?

I'm not sure if you have the sedan or the coupe, but the Tanabe axle back is priced just around $600 for the sedans.. not sure about the coupes though

As to cost of installation, an axle back exhaust is too easy to install to pay someone else to do. Just DIY to save $$. Catback is a lil more challenging if you don't have the proper lift/jackstands, but an axle back you can do no problem.. even for someone mechanically not inclined like myself

Hit up Lou @ Amplified and look into the Tanabe axle back if you are looking for a new one. Most cost effective way would be to keep an eye out in the marketplace here.
