'09 G37X CAI / Exhaust / Tune .. Opinions

Just got my '09 G37X coupe (X because it snows up here). I have always done the CAI / Exhaust / Tune on my last four cars. They were of the Big Three here at home . I gotta say the my new G37 is amazing; but of course I,m looking at the usual mods to make it breathe.
First; Warranty - What voids it CAI ? (I dont think so). Exhaust ?( I think maybe). Tune ?( I think yes) .
Second; What I want (like everyone else) is the best combination of performance gains without voiding the warranty. No Turbos yet. I know this has been asked many times , but I don't see it here at any one post.
So...Any tips from the experienced would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I think what I should do is ask the dealer directly; then go from there. I think the first thing to do is the CAI; no tune should be necessary, and I'll get small gains and some growl.

Anybody familiar with the K&N Typhoon CAI ? I wonder if one system is really better than the other. They all appear to have the same diameter tubing , and have only one or two bends for the G installation. The filters are no doubt made of similar material. I would think that they all would flow air about the same. If that is true then price and appearance would be the only determining factor.

I can't remember the Brand name, but I saw a system that runs all the way in front of the rad. The air would certainly be cooler there , but I wonder if the gains outweigh the extra cost, as compared to the shorter, more conventional systems that have the filters placed where the oems were.

Stillen Gen3......that is all lol

as for warranty

as with all mods, it will only affect your warranty if the problem can be connected back to the mod. and even if it does, they will send you away, you can go home and put the stock intakes back on and go back haha. all of my mods i have chosen just for that reason: they can be undone easily and quickly if needed.

they can only deny your warranty work if they find out the mod you did affect what you are trying to get warranty work for...

check out some videos with just the stillen gen 3

The Stillen Gen 3 does look like it is the best G CAI that Stillen has, but; like Steveo47 says, the takeda is my second choice. I actually like the single cylindrical filter that the takeda has, and it's cleaner install at the rad.
I am close to selecting a performance exhaust from a local business that has been doing this for about 20 years. A cat back system into (X or H pipe) into dual mufflers.
However , I have seen where there are differences in HP/TORQUE gains for many cars ; that is to say that some cars put out better gains with an H cross or an X cross. What is the best setup for my 09 G ?

AND..of course, when all is said and done ; where and how do I get a tune for my setup? Can my G37x be put on a dyno? From what I have read, the G37x runs normally on the rear wheels, and the AWD kicks in when wheel slippage is detected. Will the AWD affect a dyno run? I would definitively like a BEFORE and AFTER DYNO run.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

^^^ dont put it in a RWD only dyno, the car will think you are slipping and kick in the front wheels... which i guess would be a funny "g37 dyno fail" video. AWD will yeild lower numbers because of Drivetrain loss, but its not a big deal. Im getting an exoticspeed RII exhaust (go **** yourself ANMVQ) and it has a x pipe. i dont know if anyone one is particularily better for the G

From: Framingham Ma,
Thanx alot Steveo, LOL Yes but the AWD will active on the dyno so you WILL yeild a lot less than the RWD, ID did mine yesterday and only got 243 WHP and 220 WTQ(.9 Correction) but I drive live Mrs.Daisy to ( Traffic all the time) and each one of my runs was 5 WHP more than the last ECU was learing timing..We hd to stop casue there was a App siting waiting,

With all the goings on with Infinity AWD system; in the end, is my g37x faster, slower, the same as a RWD? I have yet to spin the tires. Does that mean that the power is put down to the road better than a RWD because there is no wheel spin? Or, is there a loss because of the AWD removing power from the wheels that are about to spin?
Maybe I'm getting carried away, but if you were looking at 1/4 mile times...RWD or AWD?

From: Framingham Ma,
Would like to see a 1/4 mile time myself considering the G37X got to 0-60 in 5.2 and 1/4 13.3 and the RWD S ( AUTO) 5.7 13.90 1/4.

Where exactly did you get those numbers from? I've never seen any stock 1/4 lower then 13.6 ish at best, so I am doubting a 13.3 AWD. Annnd, haven't seen anything showing RWD all the way up at 5.7 0-60???
