I think his main reason was he wanted to be able to see the filter/piping through the grill as well.

correct and it did not fit the IONIC grill which he liked more than the intake. Rather than going back to the OEM grill, he decided to part ways with the intake. It also appears that AFE has some customer service issues as well.

this is what someone was asking

I heard the Takeda doesn't require cutting in the rad support. It really does look like the same kind of setup as the Stillen Gen3. I don't get how that would be possible because the holes in the rad support don't look like they're big enough for the piping or the rubber elbows connecting the piping. Maybe the piping is rerouted differently vs the Stillen Gen3? We definitely need more pics of the Takeda setup. I'm super interested.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

so i posted the video to show him about the rad support you need to cut for the gen 3..

and just because one car dyno`s 16whp gain dosent mean your car will..
just like not everyone whos has the same mods wont make the same horsepower with them..

Looks like the hoses are stuffed through the core support holes, me not like. Looks like wear through is possible.

Heres a picture of his system removed from his car, notice the wear marks on the urethane couplings where it went through the core support??
There are hose clamp marks, and wear marks just below the clamp marks.

I'm gonna be honest, I can see the clamp marks clearly, but I can't see any sort of wear marks... Mind point them out in a photoshop/paint edited pic?

[QUOTE=huwee06;3087857]Cold Air Intake System Takeda Intakes Infiniti* G37 V6-3.7L<BR> TA-3016P - aFe Power

[FONT=Arial][SIZE=2]Producing gains of 19 horsepower and 12 lbs. x ft. torque, Takeda is proud to have engineered this true cold air intake system. The placement of the unique single air filter in the area in front of the radiator guarantees a supply of cool, high pressure air.

is the advertised 19 hp gain for the coupe or sedan or both? with stillen, the coupe has 5 or 6 more hp. anyone kno?
