I heard the Takeda doesn't require cutting in the rad support. It really does look like the same kind of setup as the Stillen Gen3. I don't get how that would be possible because the holes in the rad support don't look like they're big enough for the piping or the rubber elbows connecting the piping. Maybe the piping is rerouted differently vs the Stillen Gen3? We definitely need more pics of the Takeda setup. I'm super interested.

This Takeda CAI's look a lot better then the Stillens IMO. I like the single filter design. Kinda looks like a mini intercooler.... or should I say, interfooler.

Imagine this....would be nice if someone fabricated an ARC style induction box in place of the filter on the Takeda's. Then slap on those open style mesh grill and hmmmmmmm. sickness!

One thing I'm woried about is the water shield issue.

Some of you say its fine and some say the opposite.

We get mad downpours here during rainy season and I don't want to risk it.

there are little boxes you need to pull off once you take off the stock intakes where you would cut the holes at..taken those off opens up more room for you to slide in the smaller pipes..

I can't wait to see how this works out for folks, I have very little doubt this filters going to get wet without shielding, not like shieldings 100% effective but it definately would reduce the great majority of rain water being injested. So with the suction, is that enough to suck it all the way back to the MAF's and TB would be the next question. The pretty steep up turn and heat of the pipes should help to keep that from happening and evaporate any that pools one would hope. Still seems like a lot to go through just so you can have cooler air at stop, not that it won't probably also rise some even in that location without airflow. Time will tell.

I recently experienced wet filters, thought they were dry after washing... the suction proved otherwise even though I blew them out with a leaf blower twice and left them to dry for day. I didn't anticipate media absorbtion, and now follow that routine up with heat from a hair dryer. The car wouldn't go beyond idle without bogging. It was just a 1/2 tea spoon of water. Fortunately no long term damage.. thank God they were dry filters and not mixed with oil.
