If any of you wants Cosworth stuffs, hit up Antolin at SoCal Cobb Tuning. I put these in my stock air-boxes when I started to part out and been great so far.

Interesting...I contacted HKS about those filters and was told by a sales associate that these are NOT reusable, but are considered throw away...to be changed as usual. I was specifically looking for reusable dry filters.

Adam did quite a bit of research:

and the gold: http://www.autohifidiszkont.hu/bmw-t...szuroteszt.pdf

It seems AEM is the best air filter based on this research report, unless I'm missing something.

somewhat related, somewhat unrelated, but I didn't think it warranted its own thread:

I was doing airfilters on the vehicles yesterday (I haven't done either before, so new experience)

buick was 6 1.5" long screws, remove maf plug, remove boot. Took about 25 minutes due to awkward screw positions. Needed an oddball T25 screwdriver (which for some reason I had)

I look at the clock... yeah ok I'll do the G filters tonight, might be up a bit late but I'll deal. Open the hood, look at it... 2 clips and the thing slides out on a tray? No tools, 5 minutes to change both sides. Nissan usability FTW!

AEM may be the best, but I don't think that test was for the OEM shape, Drop In filter. It was a round, circular, conical aftermarket style. Does AEM make a drop in for the G37?

To my knowledge AEM doesn't make any drop-ins for the G.

Precisely. Those results put it at the top, but it's not a drop in, so it's irrelevant.
