Stillen exhaust, letter comes off?
Hi guys,
I just got my Stillen exhaust installed on my G a few days ago and loving it since. However, as I was getting a car wash, I noticed that the "stillen" letters on the exhaust tips came off, leaving only the letter "s" and "n". Is it normal?? Or is it a defect??
Thank you for the help guys!

The letters are applied by laser, but not etched, so they can be polished off.
Newer exhausts such as the 370Z, Cube and now the Juke are etched into the stainless, and eventually the G37 will too.
Some are very happy they can polish them off, others want the brand name, we get hit with both requests.
And to save the questions, these exhausts are built to exacting tolerances in both cutting and welding jigs, to ensure they are exact duplicates of the original prototype. For that reason, it's not possible for us to replace tips without replacing a large section of the exhaust.

Why supercharge a car and leave everything else stock? Peoples build strategies vary..
And as mentioned, we've switched laser engravers to etch the logos into the stainless.
It does take a good amount of polishing to remove the previous style, but it is possible.. We've had customers who've had our exhaust on for 7 years and not have the label removed, and still perfect looking, others remove it quickly.. depends on how hard it's polished.

Stillen's parts are some of the best quality parts on the market. Anyone on here should know that there are many different directions that people point their cars towards and some want the logos on, some want them. off. Different strokes, different folks.
