It's kinda funny that even though the Stillen is producing more power ... A lot of people are still going with the R2C ... I just find that interesting and I am not trying to sway peoples vote one way or another ... Both are great intakes.
I guess more power isn't alway everything to real world drivers. LOL

I was lucky though... the shop I go to gave me a hook-up since it was their first Gen 3 installation on a G37 sedan. Since all the "hard" work has already been done, it wouldn't be that big of a deal to install it again if I choose to sell the R2c.
I'm just not sure yet. I want to see how the powder coating of the Stillen tubes looks before I make up my mind.

I've already compared both these intakes with similar bolt on and tunes a page or two back. See my earlier post. At max there was only about a 5hp difference. No ones going to feel anything from 5hp. Sorry butt dyno...lol

Yes. Btw, the Cobb AP can report intake air temp, here's a graph below of how cooler air is being taken in once underway with a pretty quick drop to it. This was taken in july in NC, air temp was probably in the high 80's or low -90's.. definately a warm day. Graph shows Intake temp and speed. Unless there's a fridge on the end of those oiled gauze filters, can't imagine them doing a heck of a lot better here except at 0 Mph.

Post tune I'd bet they'd all be damn close, although I'd give a slight lead to the cotton guaze systems. My point is though that it's probably not worth the costs.

Ed wants to test my car some more to get more data (AFR etc.). Not sure when it will be. They could have used me Thursday but I'm getting over the flu...
If there are any updates I will of course post up... It's good to see that they want to find out why there was such a huge difference with my runs, as opposed to the 7+ they did with the other 2 local G37 Stillen/R2c comparisons.

Under a stock tune, will The R2C run too rich and cause damage to the cats? Thanks.
Probably greater but as much I doubt. The reason is the Injen also uses a cotton gauze filter which will let more air (and dust) in then R2C's filters and probably would produce a similar result to the Stillen pre-tune. They're both already closer to the optimum power AFR where the R2C was far from it running rich under the stock tune.

I doubt it will cause harm.
