Where to get a tune? (Houston, Tx)

iv read on here that even exhaust and intake could require a tune, even though my install shop said i shouldnt need one i wanted to talk to a place that does tunes just to see what they say. the only places i could find online are listed below, has anyone got theres tuned in houston? my installer said the nearest place is dallas.

New Page 1

it says they dyno tune? is that what a "custom" tune is?

I think dyno tune is different than someone saying they are going to street tune your car.

IMO I personally think that you dont "need" a tune. However without a tune when I was running intake, headers, and exhaust I was at 317 rwhp. It could have been higher with a tune. but decided to go F/I and do the tune then.

Then I wouldnt waiste the money. My car ran just fine for several months before I sent it away with no tune. but like I said thats just my own opinion and some people feel that you do need one.

What does tuning a car entail? Is it just a reflash of the ECU to accept the new parts? How much do tunes typically cost?
