HPS Silicone Air Intake Hose, new?

Just stumbled upon another new alternative to a full intake system over at Corsportusa.com. HPS Silicone Air Intake Hose 3-Ply Reinforced 08 09 Infiniti G37 3.7L made by Hiprospeed.

Never heard of these hoses before, they are similar to the Cobb silicone tubes, but apparently the company has dynoed their product on a Dynapack with gains of +6.77 Whp, +6.38 Ft/Lbs (09 G37 7AT), interesting. I'm not trying to start any big debates here, but it's nice to see another company providing an alternative for us G folks.

08 09 Infiniti G37 3.7L HPS Silicone Air Intake Hose increase horsepower torque dyno proven reduce heat soak

Looks like Corsport has the cheapest price at $110 + free shipping - CorSport Online Store: Infiniti - 08+ Infiniti G37 - 87-68426BLK

~7whp/6wtq LOL
I'd buy it just because it looks better than the stock rubber (although i'd change those clamps to regular ones). Other than that, don't expect this thing to make 1 mulepower over the stock pieces.

Yea it seems a little too good to be true, but it's another option for the crowd. The only real way to know about their claims is to have an independent dyno done. I know Cobb doesn't claim any power increases and the hoses don't look any different aside from the clamps. There was some research done with an Accessport on one of the Honda forums about intake temps and apparently the silicone tubing was much better at handling heat soak then the OEM tube. I'm tempted to spring for them cause they do look much better than OE...

only issue I see is connecting a 3inch tube to oem 2 1/4 air box connector.

110 shipped has me very interested in getting these for looks purpose.

Anybody have long-term real world experience with these intake tubes?

They look like a good option for those who don't want to install a $500 CAI.

Corsport is less than a mile from my house

I've been running Z1 Motorsports tubes for over a year now without any issues.

Older thread, I know, but I bought my G37S coupe used and the previous owner already had these installed. They look kinda cool but I'm almost certain they do absolutely nothing in terms of performance or sound. I'm considering doing CAI's to make it look even better. My car is fully stock except for the Intake Hoses and a Takeda Catback exhaust. I can post pictures of the engine bay with them installed if you would like.

I thought they looked better also. Thats the only reason I added them. Highly doubt they add any gains other than looks. IIRC they ran about 120 bucks.

I wouldn't say they do "nothing". They remove the corrugated(?) hoses smoothing out airflow. Also there is a resonator that is removed on the drivers side hose. Personally I am keeping my OE boxes-will install some AEM dry flow filters and leave my HPS hose's one. That will do for intake mods.
