k&N Drop in filters

Hi all:
Does anyone use these drop in filters to replace the stock and is there any use in doing so, except for not having to replace them frequently?

i have had them for 15K miles. i got them so i don't need to replace them like paper filters. if you're looking for power then these are not for you.

There are also dry filters... ones you don't have to oil like the K&Ns:

yeah for anyone staying with the stock airboxes I would absolutely use these just because they are cleaner and much higher quality than the normal paper filters

The HKS "super hybrid" filter is another good non-oiled one I keep hearing good reviews about from other G owners. I'm planning to put these in when the OEMs wear out:
