best bang for your buck exhaust?

I think the prices for exhaust setups are stupid for this car! Which system gives you the best sound for a decent price and wont throw any check engine lights?

You think our exhaust prices are stupid?

Have a look at M3 exhausts (SuperSprint, Eisenmann, etc..)

You get what you pay for, you can also just remove your mufflers and replace them with straight pipes for like 100 bux, but would you want to do that on a 40k car?

It could be a Veyron or Enzo for all I care, but metal piping and mufflers are still the same price.. I think it is stupid that people are charging $1500+ for an exhaust setup.. do you know how much profit there is in that? It is not like the G37 is a low production vehicle like the GTR, I don't think we should get taxed because the price of our vehicle.

A lot of R&D goes into making good exhausts. Especially with a new model like the G37 it takes money to make an exhaust from scratch. After a few years prices should come down with more of a selection but for now options are limited and yes, you get what you pay for, for the most part.

if price is a concern then look at the magnaflow. if price is NOT a concern i would look at the MXP. I prefer the MXP but i got the FI exhaust for a pretty good deal, so i went with it.

The blue tips are easy to take off. All you need is some sand paper and some muscle haha. It can be sanded off. All the blue is, is the titanium oxidation which can be sanded off and what would be left is the normal metal like the rest. The burn color = oxidation. (I read super street) lol.

I know someone who has

Sounds good from outside until you hit ~4500 RPM, where it gets quiet and sounds stock. Deafeningly loud inside the car around 3000 RPM.

are you concerned with gains at all? I think the best sounding is tanabe or invidia gemini. The tanabe can be bought for 500 or less.
