FLUID DYNAMIC STUDY OF INTAKE MANIFOLDS OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES IN PRESENCE OF ACOUSTIC RESONATORS

Pretty dense material but interesting.

This begs the question if any aftermarket intakes come with resonators tuned for gains without any concern for maintaining the restrictive OEM sound levels? I haven't seen any... aftermarkets probably don't have the R&D resources to provide a tuned resonator addition?

It may have been tested, but turned out there wasn't enough gains to justify the cost increase for the intake(s). Those charts are just showing flow rates, that doesn't indicate proven dyno gains.

If they did do research and development for some sort of resonator that possibly made gains, then they all would be priced as much as status elite's intake.
