Custom X pipe (true duals) or Y pipe

I have the Ichiba Y pipe and like the sound it makes with the Megans. Im considering having a custom x pipe made. Would I loose power and sound since its not a tuned pipe

Discuss x pipe vs y pipe

Go with the x-pipe or just two straight pipes. I had my FI x-pipe cut out bc I had a hole in it bc it hangs low and I replaced it with straight pipes and I love the sound even more

Get the magnaflow X muffler . I just installed it on my magnaflow exhaust and what a difference . No more rasp . None at all and the car runs smoother. Its the same x muffler on the FastIntentions exhaust . You can pick one up on Ebay for $75.00 shipped...

Well the x-pipe according to what I know (for NA application) is better performance wise since it gives the V6 the right back pressure to get some low end torque.

Straight pipe with a tune would probably yield some nice high end HP numbers though

I'm probably going to replace my x-pipe with straights (maybe resonated) for a more aggressive tone but that thing will be a COP MAGNET! oh wait.. nevermind that lol

Get the 2.5 version . Part # 11386 which you can get on Ebay. Performance Peddler sales them for $90.00 . I gave them a best offer of $75.00 and they accepted. I am really happy with this..

No the x pipe he speaks of is an x connection which needs to be welded to two tubes making the crossover, you will also need to do the mid pipes......
