Greddy Tic Silencer

Had my Greddy + Ichiba Y-pipe Installed today. Sounds fckin awesome Nice low rumble up to 2500rpm, however ir becomes less noticable after that.

The guy who I had them installed by recommended I do not remove the silencer, he stated it would affect the perfromance. Is this true, I thought the silencer was there solely for db purposes?

The silencer does not affect the performance. Have you heard it without silencer yet? If not, take it out, it is a much better sound.

Ok thats it, its coming off!

I'm lovin it, car pulls ALOT harder, no felt loss in tq anywhere, zero rasp from the exhaust. Injen SRI growl just pops after 4k/rpm. Eibach drop is perfect. Def no complaints, I shall post pics and vids shortly.

I understand I have to take the tips off to get to the silencer, but can I do this without removing the entire muffler piece i.e will I have enough room to use the allen keys?

You do not have to remove anything to get the silencers off. Just take a hex key and unscrew the screws holding the silencer and work it out of the exhaust. Then make sure to put in a screw and nut on the bottom hole to hold the tip on.

Done! The beast is unleashed. The tone is ALOT more defined and can be heard though out he entire rpm range.

my situation is different..
Had the greddy's for a year without the silencers but i missed the luxury aspect of the G
so i installed them back on last week

and now Im more satisfied with the sound.Yes, its quieter but I can do high RPms now without the anxiety of a cop nearby noticing my exhaust . Especially now here in Sd, cops are evrywhere because of that OPERATION CRACKDOWN or something(they basically pull you over for being modified and imports are favorite targets)

bottom line : I love my greddys with the silencers

I'm sure it can be heard throughout the entire neighborhood range as well
